BX September 18, 1918

The wife of Percy Alcock, 68 Rawdon Street, received word on Saturday that her husband had been wounded in the heel. Sergeant Alcock left here with the 84th Battalion

Percy Alcock

The death occurred of Percy Alcock in his fifty-third year suddenly at his home, 68 Rawdon Street.  Deceased was born in England, coming to Canada 26 years ago.  He was well known in local military circles.  He enlisted in the 84th Battalion, C.E.F., being transferred in England to the 75th, with which he served in France.  He rose to the rank of Sergeant.  He was wounded and severely gassed during the war and died from the result of war injuries.  He leaves to mourn his loss his widow, one son, Arnold and one daughter, Marion, at home.  The late Mr. Alcock is resting at home and funeral arrangements will be announced later.
