Private Percy Porter is also reported wounded. Pte. Porter came all the way from Philadelphia here to enlist with the Second Contingent, joining the 38th Dufferin Rifles. Before going overseas he was transferred to a Toronto battalion of the Second Division. He was a single man, born in Manchester, England, and was 38 years of age. Previous to coming to Canada he served thirteen years with a Worcestershire regiment.
