BX December 18, 1915

The marriage was celebrated on Tuesday evening at 8 o’clock, at the James Street Baptist parsonage, Hamilton, Ont., of Miss Annie Ayres and Pte. Philip Burnham member of the 125th Brant Battalion.  Rev. J.J. Ross performed the ceremony which was witness by immediate friends of the contracting parties only.  The bride was attired in a dress of blue messalipe silk and a becoming had of black velvet, and wore a corsage bouquet of pale pink carnations.  She was given away by her brother, Mr. J. Ayres, of Hamilton.  Miss Levada Sanders and little Gwen Burnham were bridesmaids.  The groom’s gifts to the bridesmaids were gold brooches.  Afterwards a lunch was served at 301 James Street.
