Reports Were Unfounded of Casualties

The report that was circulated in the city last evening to the effect that Gunner Grant Tucker had been killed in action and his brother Jack wounded, has proved to be entirely without foundation. Upon hearing the report William Tucker, 22 Port Street, father of the two men in question, immediately cabled to ascertain if it was true, and this morning received a reply to the effect that an uncle in London, England had yesterday morning received a letter from Jack stating that both were well and happy.
