Thomas James Cullen

The death of Thomas Cullen, 22 Park Road, formerly of Toronto, occurred Tuesday at Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto in his 73rd year.  Born in England, he came to Canada 50 years ago and lived in Toronto, where he was employed with the Auto Strap and Razor Company for more than 30 years.  He came to Brantford six months ago and lived with his cousin, Mrs. B. Merridew.  He was a veteran of the First World War, in which he served overseas with the 36th Battalion.  He is survived by several cousins.  Mr. Cullen is resting at the Hill and Robinson Funeral Home until Friday for service in the chapel at 2 p.m.  Interment will be in the Soldiers’ Plot in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Thomas James Cullen

Many friends and relatives attended the funeral service for Thomas Cullen conducted Friday afternoon at the Hill and Robinson Chapel.  Rev. Stanley Gibson of Faith Tabernacle was in charge of the service assisted by Rev. John Gibson.  During the service in the Chapel, Rev. Stanley Gibson sang a solo “Is My Name Written There,” accompanied by Mrs. Edith Burrill.  The pallbearers were D. Monkman, T. Barr, J. Longbottom, B. Vary, J. Turner and L. Cronk.  E.R. Edwards was in charge of the pallbearers, all members of the Telephone City Branch 90 Canadian Legion.  Interment was in the Soldiers’ Plot, Mount Hope Cemetery.
