Private Thomas John Hird of this city, who enlisted with the 181st Brandon Battalion, and went overseas in April of this year, is reported killed in action on November 6th after only two weeks' services in the trenches. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hird, reside on Tutela Heights.
