Add to Strength of 215th Band

The strength of the 215th band this morning was 39 men.  The band is fast becoming an excellent musical organization and is now very much in demand for public engagements throughout Brant and other counties.

One of the latest recruits to the band is Walter Douglas Craw of Orillia.  Mr. Craw is a well-known insurance and real estate broker in Orillia.  He has just recently underwent an operation, but this did not deter him from donning the khaki.  About one-third of the strength of the 215th band came from the town of Orillia.  In all there are some twelve Orillia musicians recruited from the brass and Salvation Army band.  Nearly all who came are men who had to make sacrifices to don the khaki.  Orillia has for a long time been noted musicians and Captain Pearce of the 215th Battalion who is in charge of the Paris squad is also an old Orillia boy and well known here
