BX December 12, 1949

William Bremner

The death of William Bremner occurred this morning in the Brantford General Hospital.  Born in Scotland, he came to Canada 40 years ago.  Mr. Bremer had resided here for the past 37 years and was employed with the Canada Car and Foundry Ltd., Very Works and the Parks Board, and for five years was located at the No. 5 Airport.  He enlisted with the 13th Battery, in the First World War and served with it for the duration of hostilities.  Surviving besides his widow, are three sons, William, Toronto; Robert, Regina, and John, England; one daughter, Mrs. Keith (Lillian) Berkeley, Brantford; three grandchildren and six brothers and six sisters in Aberdeen, Scotland.  Mr. Bremner is resting at his late residence, 37 ½ Terrace Hill Street, where the service will be conducted Wednesday afternoon.  Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

William Bremner

The funeral service for William Bremner, husband of Elizabeth Bremner, was conducted Wednesday afternoon, at his residence, 37 ½ Terrace Hill Street.  Major J.H. Bond, of the Salvation Army, officiated.  The many floral tributes evinced the high esteem in which the deceased was held.  The pallbearers were Sandy Wilson, William Collins, John Coubrough, James Johnstone, Harry Pratt and Clem Fletcher.  Interment was in the family plot, Mount Hope Cemetery.
