Mr. J.A. Calhoun, 311 Dalhousie Street, this morning received official word this morning from Ottawa that his son, Pte. William Lorne Calhoun, 142nd (London’s Own), had been killed in action, no date being given. The deceased young man enlisted in London, where he had been residing for some years. He was well known in Brantford through visiting with his father, who was a former resident of London. Private Calhoun leaves a wife and four small children.
