Details: Operations at Canal de L’Escaut and near Cambrai Oct. 9th/15th, 1918. Lance Cpl. Morris was in charge of linesmen repairing lines between Battery H.Q. and forward Guns. He repaired lines continuously under heavy fire and maintained communication with Guns at all times during operations.
