Private William Henry Vansickle of 59 Grey Street, who with his son, Signalling Sergeant Ernest Vansickle, went overseas with the 19th Battalion has been seriously burned. The son returned to Canada last month, and is now in the Military hospital in Toronto. His father is in a hospital at Bunston, Derbyshire, and was recently placed on the staff. The veteran however, had the misfortune to be badly burned about the hands and body. Word of this accident was received today. The war has hit the Vansickle family hard and in addition to the war veterans little Eugene, the 8 year old son, is at the Brant Sanatorium. He is however, on the road to recovery.
