Walked 19 Miles to Join the 215th – William Walker of Waterford Lived up to His Name Today

Not having the wherewithal to buy a railway ticket from Waterford to Brantford, but anxious to sign up with the 215th Battalion, preparatory to a longer trip to Berlin, Germany and 18 year old boy, William Walker, walked the nineteen odd miles. Early this morning he was on hand at the 215th headquarters, proving that he was a walker by nature as well as by name. Appreciating his sacrifice he received a good welcome and is by now attired in the latest fashion.
