“Somewhere on Earth”

Mrs. W.H. Williams, 81 Brock Street, has received a short letter from her son, Pte. William Joseph Williams, 55744, Second C.E.F., C. Company, 19th Battalion, 4th Brigade, who is now somewhere in France with the Second Division. While not knowing his exact location he stated that he was well and “somewhere on the earth,” his immediate location being a farm yard.  He comments that the people there were very good to the boys, but that he could do with some cigarettes and socks. He asked to be remembered to local friends.
