William H. William

William Henry Williams died Tuesday at his residence, 10 Port Street, in his 90th year.  Mr. Williams was born in England and was a resident of Brantford since coming to Canada in 1911.  He had been employed as a carpenter with the Massey-Harris Company for a number of years, and later as a flag man at the railway crossing on the Market Street of the T.H. and B. Railway. During the First World War, Mr. Williams served overseas with the 125th Battalion, and was a member of the Telephone City Branch of the Canadian Legion.  Mrs. Williams, the former Martha Muddle, died in 1941.  Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Hugh (Beatrice) Hopkins, Brantford; Mrs. Agnes Grey, England; Mrs. Fred (Grace) Berry, England; three sons, William J. Williams, Niagara Falls, Y.Y.; Fred Williams, Rothsay, Ontario, and Charles Williams, Brantford.  Mr. Williams is resting at Thorpe Brothers’ Funeral Home, where the service will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m.  Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
