Private Arthur John Rising Reported Killed in Action

The father of four little lads and a well-known Brantford man has given his life on the battlefield, in the person of Private Arthur John Rising, who was killed in action on August 30. Mrs. Rising received here sad news yesterday. The fallen hero was for nine years a moulder at the Verity plant, and when he enlisted he lived at 260 Darling Street. He was in France only eleven months after returning from an English hospital, and he had been promised furlough at his old home in England. Arthur, Willie, Richard and Fred are his boys.
