Charles Milligan Jr.
The death took place this morning at the Hamilton Sanatorium, of Charles Milligan Jr. Deceased who was in his 29th year, was born in Brantford, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Milligan. He served overseas for the full duration of the war, leaving Brantford with the C.M.R in 1914. He was both wounded and gassed, during the great struggle. He returned to Brantford in 1919 and was in the employ of the fire department for a time. Members of the family rendered notable service in the war, four brothers having also enlisted. One was killed at the front and another brother died in 1921 from the effects of wounds and gas. Deceased was a member of the G.W.V.A. and besides a sorrowing widow, Georgian Milligan, he leaves to mourn his demise one daughter, Margaret; his parents and three sisters and three brothers, Mrs. H. Johnston and Mrs. K. Kennedy, city; Mrs. D. Charteras, Hamilton; Frank in England, Gus, Kingston; Reginald, Brantford. The funeral will take place from the residence of his parents on Monday morning to St. Basil’s church, with interment in St. Joseph’s cemetery.

The funeral took place this morning from the residence of his parents, 123 Grand River Avenue to St. Basil’s Church, of the late Charles Milligan, junior. The service at the Church was in charge of Rev. Father Ferguson and the last rites at the grave side were performed by Rev. Father, Hawkins. The pallbearers were: J. Hutcheon, J. Hoffman, J. McGratton, George Bennett, O.E. Whittaker, and Albert Ott. Interment took place at St. Joseph’s cemetery.
