Charles Walley

Charles Walley died Thursday at the Brantford General Hospital in his 73rd year.  A son of the late John and Grace Walley, he was born at St. George and was a resident of Brantford for about six years.  He was employed by the Ford Mother Company of Canada at Windsor for over 25 years prior to his retirement in May 1954.  He was a member of UAW Local 200 at Windsor.  A veteran of the First World War, he was a member of Branch 90 Canadian Legion and of Lodge No. 348 Walkerville Independent Order of Odd Fellows.  Surviving are three sons, William of London, Robert Daniel of Toronto, John Herbert of Calgary, Alberta; two daughters, Mrs. James (Mary) Fox of Kingston, Mrs. Archie (Florence) Jeeves of Grand Island, N.Y., one brother Harry of Windsor; two half-brothers, William and Roy Smith of Brantford, and six grandchildren.  His wife, the former Martha Street, predeceased him in 1953.  Mr. Walley is resting at the McCleister Funeral Home where the service will be conducted Saturday at 3.30 p.m.  Rev. H.A. Smith, padre of the Canadian Legion will officiate.  Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
