Private Gordon Finley Ross of the 125th Battalion, son of Mr. James Ross, is reported seriously ill having been in the hospital for ten weeks.

ROSS – At the Brantford General Hospital, on Wednesday, July 12, 1972, Gordon F. (Scotty) Ross, in his 79th year, of 40 McMurray Street, Mr. Ross was a veteran of the First World War.  Father of Douglas of Hamilton, Gordon of Mississauga; brother of Mrs. William J. (Stella) Stephens, Mrs. Leola Horsley, both of Paris; Mrs. Mary Kerr of Preston and Robert of Toronto; also, 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren.  Resting at Hill and Robinson Limited, Funeral Home, Nelson and Queen Streets, until Friday.  Service in the chapel 3:30 p.m.  Interment Soldiers’ Plot, Mount Hope Cemetery.  Rev. John MacCallum will officiate.
