John Herbert Bradley

BRADLEY – At the Brantford General Hospital, on Sunday, July 1, 1979, J. Herbert (Herb) Bradley, in his 86th year of 155 Dundas Street; husband of the late Maude Eleanor Cowherd; dear father of Mrs. Donald E. (Marian) Wiles of Livonia, Michigan and Don H. Bradley of Brantford; also survived by six grandchildren and five great grandchildren; brother of Ernest of Brantford, Mrs. Russell (Edna) Cook of Woodstock and the late Mrs. Fred (Ottolene) Harrison. Mr. Bradley was a wartime superintendent of the Cockshutt Plow Company and latterly served with Ruddy-Freeborn and Hussmann Refrigeration until his retirement 15 years ago. Veteran of the First World War, overseas from 1915-1919, serving with the Royal Canadian Horse Artillery, Second Division, 14th Battery; 59 years an active member of Colborne Street United Church in many capacities including Sunday School and Church Board of Stewards and Trustees and treasurer for over 35 years; served for several years on the Advisory Vocational Committee of the Board of Education and was chairman in 1960. Mr. Bradley resting at the Hill and Robinson Inc., Funeral Home, Nelson and Queen Streets, until Tuesday (today) for a service in the chapel at 2 p.m. including committal service. Interment Farringdon Burial Ground. Rev. Arthur Tobey officiated.
