Former Town Clerk, K.E. Robinson Dies
PARIS – A well-known Paris resident, Kenneth E. Robinson of 14 Warwick Street, died yesterday at the Willett Hospital in his 66th year.
Born in Montreal, he lived in Paris most of his life. He served in the First World War, earning his commission on the field with the 4th Canadian Infantry Battalion. In the last war, Mr. Robison was in charge of “C” Company of the Dufferin and Haldimand Rifles.
Mr. Robinson was secretary-treasurer of the Walker Press and Kaumograph Ltd. For the last 25 years. Prior to that he was the Paris town clerk for six years. He served as a Councillor for several terms. He was an elder of the Paris Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the Brantford Golf and Country Club and the Paris Legion.
He is survived by his wife, the former Ruth Moffat; a son, Ian, of Toronto; his father, C.B. Robinson; two sisters, Mrs. Edgar Harold and Mrs. R.C. McLaughlin; a brother Stanley, all of Paris and two grandchildren.
Hi is resting at Bruce B. Smith Funeral Home, Paris, where the service will be conducted on Thursday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Walter Kennedy officiating. Interment will be in Paris Cemetery.
