Wounded and Gassed
    
Sergeant Andrew Donaldson, Privates Thomas Field and John Joseph Donohue are all reported wounded and gassed, while Pte. William Gunn is reported gassed. Pte. Donohue is a Canadian and formerly lived at 148 Albion. He is single and went overseas with a local battery.

William Gunn

William Gunn, 77, of 88 Spring Street, died Wednesday at the Sunnybrook Military Hospital.  Mr. Gunn was a well-known and highly respected citizen of Brantford for over 50 years.  He was born in Thurso, Scotland and while in Brantford was employed with the Massey-Ferguson Company for over 35 years, retiring in 1949.  He was a member of the Quarter Century Club of Massey-Ferguson and the Quarter Century Club of Branch 90 Royal Canadian Legion.  He was a very active member of Riverdale Baptist Church and was presently serving as a deacon of the church.  For 22 years Mr. Gunn had served as financial secretary of the church.  Mr. Gunn was a veteran of the First World War, serving with the 125th Battalion and later transferring to the 4th Battalion CEF.  He was a past chief of the Sons of Scotland.  His wife, Isabella, died in 1955.  Surviving is one son, Alexander John of Port Credit; two daughters, Mrs. Charles E. (Bessie) Slack, of Brantford, and Mrs. David B. (Violet) McGregor, of Toronto; three grandchildren; one brother, Alexander of Arnprior, Scotland.  The body is at the Beckett Funeral Home for service Saturday at 2 p.m. with interment in Mount Hope Cemetery.
