Four Further Local Wounded – Latest Morning Casualties List Includes the Names of Four Brantford Men

Four more Brantford casualties were announced this morning. Pte. Arthur Cornish, Brantford, is also reported wounded in this morning’s list.

Seven Veterans

Seven returned soldiers reached Brantford yesterday afternoon on the 4.40 radial cars from Hamilton. The names of only four of these were available this morning, as the men made direct for their own homes as soon as they reached the station. Secretary George MacDonald of the Soldiers’ Aid was on hand to meet them, but located only two. Some of the soldiers got off the car farther down the line. The men came direct from Liverpool to Halifax, taking one week for the crossing. Conditions are reported to be good in England. While everyone is on rations, no one speaks of anything but victory for the Allies. The returned men are Privates Robert A. Wilson, William James Atfield, Arthur Cornish, and Roy Brown.
