Arthur Davis

Arthur Davis, 70, died Tuesday in the Brant Sanatorium.  He was born in Stouffville, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Davis, and had lived in Brantford most of his life, and had been employed at Crown Electric Limited until his retirement in 1950.  Mr. Davis served during the First World War with the 54th Battery, Royal Canadian Artillery, and was a member of Branch 90, Royal Canadian Legion.  Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Peter (Peggy) Castellan of Toronto; a sister, Mrs. James (Ida) Chandler of London; three brothers, Norman of St. Catharines, Harry of Kaladar, and Ellis of Marmora, also two grandchildren.  Mr. Davis was predeceased by his wife the former Alice Batson, in 1959, and by a sister Mrs. Jack (Lola) Walters.  Mr. Davis is at the McCleister Funeral Home for service on Friday at 2 p.m.  Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery with Rev. John MacCallum of Marlboro United Church officiating.
