Library Janitor Going Overseas – Bartley Fulcher Has Enlisted with the 215th Battalion
It was with much regret that the library board at their meeting last night accepted the resignation of the very capable janitor of the public library, Mr. Bartley Fulcher, who has enlisted with the 215th Overseas Battalion. Mr. Fulcher has been janitor for over two years, and the appearance and comfort of the grounds and building at all times bore fitting testimony to his efficiency. Some time ago he was enthused with the desire to do his bit but was rejected. Not to be deterred, however, in his resolve, he tried again with the 215th and was accepted. The matter of the appointment of a successor was left in the hands of the building and grounds committee, of which Mr. T. Hendry is chairman. Mr. Fulcher has consented to put in his spare time at the library until a suitable successor is secured.
