Mr. Arthur Smith, 5 Dundas Street, received word from Ottawa that his son, Private Fred Smith had been admitted to the Fourth General Hospital, Dannes-Camiers, France on November 6, with concussion. He enlisted with the 164th of Dufferin and Halton Counties. He was then a student at the B.C.I. He reached France on Good Friday of this year, having reversed from a sergeant to get to France, and this is his second wounding. He had had three years of service.
