To The Front as a Nurse - Miss Eva Florence McLean, of this City Receives Appointment in the Medical Corps

Miss Eva Florence McLean, daughter of Mrs. E.H. McLean, 172 Nelson Street has received the appointment of nursing sister in the Canadian Expeditionary Force, and left Montreal during the past week for Shorncliffe Camp, England. The further destination of the party, which includes some 50 nurses, is not known, but it is expected that it will be sent to the hospitals near the firing line.

Miss McLean has been a resident of Winnipeg for the past two years, being a fully qualified nurse. She was home on a visit, taking a well-earned holiday, when she received the appointment of nursing sister, with the rank of lieutenant. She left almost immediately for the concentration headquarters. She is a sister of Captain McLean of the Dufferin Rifles.
