In the casualty report issued from Ottawa this morning Private Frederick William Oldham is reported as ill. He belonged to the infantry, and left here with the 215th Battalion.

Frederick William Oldham

PARIS – Frederick W. Oldham, 236 Grand River Street, north, a well-known member of the Paris Presbyterian Church died Wednesday at the Willett Hospital.  Born in Bulwell, England, he had lived in Paris for the past 44 years.  He was a member of the Presbyterian Church choir, the Sons of England, Paris Lawn Bowling Club and Branch 29, of the Canadian Legion.  At one time he was a member of the Brantford Schubert Choir.  He is survived by his widow, the former Ethel Smith; one son, Water, of Paris; and a sister, Miss E.A. Oldham, England.  He is resting at the Cummings funeral home, 13 Banfield Street, where service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m.  Rev. Walter Kennedy will officiate.  Interment will be in Paris Cemetery.
