Frederick William Robinson
Frederick William (Freddy) Robinson, 69, died Tuesday in the Brant Sanatorium. He was born at Brighton, Sussex, England, and came to Brantford 56 years go. Mr. Robinson was a veteran of the First World War, enlisting in the 125th Battalion and served overseas with the 54th Battalion. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 90. Mr. Robinson was a former employee of Durex Abrasives, now Behr-Manning, about 17 years, retiring in 1938, due to ill health. Surviving besides his wife, the former Ellen Sears, are one daughter, Mrs. Norman (Jean) Wilson of Brantford; his mother, Mrs. Emma Robinson, of Brantford; three brothers, George of Toronto, Victor of Kitchener, and Bernie, of London, Ont.; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Moyer of Toronto and Mrs. George (Eva) Laskey, of Brantford; two grandchildren. Mr. Robinson is at the Hill and Robinson Funeral Home until Friday for service in the chapel at 2 p.m. Interment will be in the Soldiers’ Plot in Mount Hope Cemetery. Brig Victor MacLean will officiate.
