Frederick Williams

Fred Williams, Sr., husband of Annie Broughton Williams, 149 Campbell Street, died Wednesday at the Brantford General Hospital.  He was in his 67th year.  Mr. Williams was born in England, and 42 years ago came to Brantford where he became an employee of the Brantford Oven and Rack Company.  He served overseas in the First World War with the 125th Battalion, and was an adherent of the Anglican Church.  Surviving besides his widow, are one son, George, at home, one daughter, Mrs. L. (Violet) Beechy, Paris; one brother, Herbert, Australia; four sisters, Mrs. R. (Rose) Evans, Mrs. J. (Clara) Jones, Mrs. T. (Lilly) Corin and Mrs. G. (Violet) Beach, all of England; five grandchildren.  One son, Fred, died three months ago; another son, Herbert was killed in 1944, during the Second World War.  Mr. Williams is resting at the Hill and Robison Funeral Home until Saturday, when the service will be conducted in the chapel at 2 p.m.  Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
