James Morris Ransom Killed in Action

Word has been received by Mrs. Wiltshire, 144 Eagle Avenue that her brother Pte. James Ransom was killed in action on Nov. 6. He went to France with the first draft from the 125th Brant Battalion. He was single and leaves a widowed mother in England. Before enlisting he was employed by the Cockshutt Plow Company. Mr. Wiltshire, brother-in-law of the hero, is now in hospital in England. Private Ransom had two brothers serving in France, one having been wounded.
