GABRIEL, John W. – At the Brantford General Hospital, on Wednesday, March 30, 1983, John W. Gabriel in his 90th year; beloved husband of Mabel Frances German; dear father of William and Dennis, both of British Columbia, Reginald and Douglas, both of Brantford, brother of Mrs. Lillian Maven of Chatham; also surviving are 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.  Mr. Gabriel was a veteran of both World Wars.  Resting at the Hill and Robinson Funeral Home, Nelson and Queen Streets after 2 p.m., Friday.  Funeral and committal services in the chapel on Saturday at 1 p.m.  The Rev. Kent Gardiner at St. David’s Anglican Church will officiate.  Interment Farringdon Burial Ground.
