Vimy Ridge casualties still continue to pour in, and at noon today word was received that Private Norman Phillipson, who was well known in amateur baseball circles, had been killed in action. The sad intelligence came to the young hero’s father, John Phillipson, who resides on Dundas Street, Terrace Hill. Private Phillipson, who went overseas with the first Brant County Battalion, was single, and an employee of the Brandon Shoe factory. He was a promising member of the Alert baseball team.
