Today word was received here that Private Percy Fitness, son of Joseph Fitness, now of Hamilton, but for many years a resident of Brantford, had received on May 4 a serious wound in the elbow. Pte. Fitness, who was formerly employed with the Goold Shapley and Muir Company, was single and but 20 years of age. He enlisted with the first overseas battalion of the Dufferin Rifles.
