Massey-Harris Convalescent Home in England for Canadian Soldiers: Bulletin No. 17, 1918
…While Pte. Percy Rowley (Brantford Factory), of the 125th Battalion, was in Manchester recently, on leave, he was called by name when passing an internment camp. It turned out that a former Brantfordite who had at one time worked in the Massey-Harris plant there was interned. The former Brantfordite asked for a smoke.

Rowley, in his 74th year; beloved husband of Edna Mae Greenaway, 481 Colborne Street; dear father of Wilbert of Dresden, Kenneth of Pembroke, Allan, Fred, Tom, Mrs. Arthur (Grace) McCreary, Mrs. Russell (Jean) McDonald, Mrs. George (Earldine) Poirier, Mrs. Lynn (Carolyn)) Goathe, all of Brantford; also 12 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren. Resting at Hill and Robinson Limited, Funeral Home, Nelson and Queen Streets, until Saturday. Service in the chapel 3.30 p.m. Interment Soldiers’ Plot, Mount Hope Cemetery. Rev. John MacCallum will officiate.
