Circumstances of Casualty: Killed in Action. While his battalion was being relieved in the Loos. Sector he was hit in the head and instantly killed by shrapnel from an enemy shell.

Mrs. Lottridge of Ohsweken has received official word that her son, Welby Howard Lottridge, has been killed in action on August 2.

Mr. and Mrs. A.H. Lottridge received a telegram from Ottawa on Thursday of last week informing them that their son, Pte. Welby Howard Lottridge had been killed in action. He enlisted with the 114th Battalion.
