Circumstances of Casualty: Killed in Action. After reaching the final objective, this soldier was hit in the neck and shoulder by machine gun bullets, fired from a low flying enemy plane, and was almost instantly killed.

Private Wilfred Alan Bell has been killed in action according to word received in the city by Dr. Linscott. He was killed on Nov. 6. About two years ago Private Joseph Bell, father of Pte. Wilfred Bell paid the price with his life.
