Mrs. H. Carter of 12 Holme Street has received a telegram from Ottawa brining the news that her son, Private William Carter, infantry had been admitted to the No. 11 Field Ambulance on November 1. He was suffering from gunshot wounds. He went overseas with the 2nd Brant County Battalion. Before enlisting he was employed at the Watson Manufacturing Company.

Mrs. H. Carter has received a cable that her son, Private William Carter had been admitted to No. 3 General Hospital, Le Treport, Aug. 11 with gunshot wounds in face and eye. He was formerly an employee of the Watson manufacturing Company; Holmedale.
