William McGregor

The death of William McGregor, 95 Aberdeen Avenue, occurred at the hospital yesterday.  Mr. McGregor was 35 years of age, and was an ex-service man, having enlisted with the 215th Battalion and served overseas during the late war.  He leaves a widow and four children, Albert, Nellie, Evelyn and Gordon.  The funeral is being held this afternoon from Beckett’s undertaking parlors on Dalhousie Street, to Mount Hope Cemetery with interment at the soldiers’ plot.

William McGregor

The funeral of William McGregor took place yesterday afternoon from Beckett’s funeral parlors, Dalhousie Street to Mount Hope cemetery, where interment was made in the soldiers’ plot.  Rev. A.G. Doner pastor of the Gospel Tabernacle, was in charge of the services at the parlors and graveside, and as a mark of the service tendered by deceased with the Canadian forces in the late war the casket was draped with the Union Jack and the Last Post was sounded over the grave by Bugler Bert Porter.  The pallbearers were Peter Casey, Edward Whittaker, G. Roll, B. Ball, Thomas Morrow and S.M. Cowell.
