To Base Hospital

Private William Rickie, of the 215th Battalion, who broke both his wrists while on farm furlough, will be sent to the Base hospital at Toronto this afternoon. Although not on the strength of the battalion, Rickie had been attested. He had been working for a farmer named LaPierre, near Paris, and after being attested was allowed leave to work for him a while longer. Then the accident ensued, he breaking both his wrists by falling out of an apple tree. He was brought to the local hospital yesterday.
