The name of Private William Leslie Uptgrove is also given in today’s list as wounded. He was a member of the 38th Dufferin Rifles and went overseas with a draft early in the war. He was made a corporal in January of this year.

Word was received today by Mrs. Helen Gertrude Uptgrove, 75 Brighton Row, that her son William Leslie Uptgrove was officially reported admitted to No 8 Stationary Hospital, Abbeville, France, suffering from a gunshot wound in the left hand.
